Her having seen what she saw in the first game, not being able to cope with the idea that something supernatural exists in her world. Coming to terms with that was part of her characters journey, and coming to terms with the death of her father was culminated in her deciding to destroy the divine source. At the end, when Lara makes a choice to destroy it, she states that she finally understands that death is a part of life. I read one review that said they couldn't understand why she went looking for the divine source, other than "my dad was looking for it so I might as well too", that's missing the point. I lost my father a little over a year ago, so if this aspect of her characters motivation had been hamfisted, it would've ruined the game for me.

One last way to connect with her father, one last way to be close with her father, one last way to clear her fathers name and hopefully provide closure. Lara, is driven to find the divine source for what I believe are two great reasons. This, first scroll was one of so many that follows that tell the stories of all these explorers that have come before you, all driven, each with their own reasons to find what you're looking for. But the key for me was finding that first scroll, see this ancient seafaring ship was frozen in place because it's captain was driven mad to find the divine source. And ever challenge tomb after that was more beautiful and amazing, each with fantastic puzzles. The puzzle really did a great job of setting up how future challenge tombs would work in the future.

I immediately felt like I was a Goonie, about to raid one eyed Willies cousins ship. This first challenge tomb, is breathtaking. From the buttery smooth controls, to the amazing graphics, to the unbelievable vistas and environments you explore, and of course the tombs.the glorious tombs.Įarly on as your making your way through a mountain of ice, you come across a massive ancient galley frozen bow facing down the side of an ancient frozen river. I rarely ever make posts, but here it goes.
